These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of SewnBy.
By creating an account or using SewnBy, you agree to these Terms.
1. About SewnBy
SewnBy is an online service for organising sewing-related information, including fabrics, patterns, projects, measurements, files, photographs, notes and shopping lists.
2. Your account
Some SewnBy features require an account.
You are responsible for:
providing accurate information when creating your account;
keeping your login details secure;
activities carried out through your account where they result from your actions or failure to protect your credentials;
notifying us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
You may not use another person's account without permission.
3. Using SewnBy
You may use SewnBy for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
You must not:
use the service in violation of applicable law;
attempt to gain unauthorised access to SewnBy, other accounts or connected systems;
interfere with the security or operation of the service;
introduce malicious code, automated attacks or other harmful technologies;
use SewnBy to store or distribute content that infringes the rights of others;
use automated tools to overload, scrape or disrupt the service without our permission.
4. Your content
You retain your rights to the information, files, photographs and other content you add to SewnBy.
By uploading or creating content in SewnBy, you give us only the rights necessary to store, process, display, back up and otherwise handle that content for the purpose of providing the service to you.
We do not acquire ownership of your sewing projects, photographs, notes, patterns or other content merely because you store them in SewnBy.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to upload and use the content you add to the service.
5. Pattern files and third-party materials
SewnBy may allow you to store files or information relating to patterns, fabrics or other materials obtained from third parties.
Copyright and other intellectual-property rights in those materials remain with their respective owners.
Using SewnBy does not grant you additional rights to copy, share, distribute or commercially use third-party materials.
You are responsible for complying with the terms under which such materials were obtained.
6. Availability and changes to the service
We aim to keep SewnBy available and working properly, but uninterrupted or error-free operation cannot be guaranteed.
The service may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, technical problems, security measures or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
We may improve, modify or discontinue individual features as SewnBy develops.
Where applicable law requires advance information about a material change affecting a digital service, we will provide it as required.
7. Data and backups
We take reasonable measures to operate and protect the service.
However, SewnBy should not be treated as the only copy of files or information that are particularly important to you. Where appropriate, you should keep your own backup copies.

8. Suspension or termination of accounts
We may restrict or suspend access to an account where reasonably necessary, including where:
these Terms are seriously or repeatedly violated;
the account is used unlawfully;
there is a security risk;
continued access could harm SewnBy, its infrastructure or other users.
Where reasonably possible and legally appropriate, we will give notice before taking such action.
You may stop using SewnBy at any time.
9. Paid features
If paid features or subscriptions are introduced, their price, billing period, renewal terms and any applicable cancellation conditions will be shown before you purchase them.
Additional terms may apply to paid features. They will be presented before the relevant purchase or subscription is completed.
Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights available under applicable law.
10. Intellectual property in SewnBy
SewnBy, including its software, design, branding, interface and original content provided as part of the service, is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Except where expressly permitted, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or commercially exploit SewnBy or substantial parts of it.
These restrictions do not apply to content that belongs to you or to third parties.
11. Third-party websites and services
SewnBy may contain links to websites, shops, pattern publishers or other third-party services.
Those services are operated independently and may have their own terms and privacy policies.
We are not responsible for third-party websites or services merely because SewnBy provides a link to them.
12. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.
To the extent permitted by law, SewnBy is not responsible for losses caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control or by the user's misuse of the service.
Mandatory rights and remedies available to consumers remain unaffected.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when SewnBy, applicable law or the way the service operates changes.
The current version will be published on this page together with the date of the latest update.
Where required by law, we will provide additional notice of material changes.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [COUNTRY], subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you under the law of your country of residence.
Nothing in these Terms removes rights that cannot legally be waived.
